FORBES’ recently released his definitive annual women list of the
extraordinary icons and leaders, ground breakers and ceiling crashers,
who are asserting themselves on the world stage, with top African women
making headway in the list.
From Nigeria, Minister of Finance,
Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, and philanthropist and business mogul, Folorunsho
Alakija, made it on the list of Forbes World’s 100 Powerful Women 2014.

Old Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, ranked number 44 on the list, making her the
most powerful woman in Nigeria while 63 years old one of Africa’s
finest, Madam Folorunsho Alakija, who can be described as a modern day
success story of patience, hardwork and God’s providence, got ranked as
number 96 as Forbes’ World’s powerful woman.
Madam Alakija who is
an Oil tycoon, Fashion entrepreneur and Vice chairman of Famfa Oil, has
once been named one of Forbes’ Africa 40 Richest alongside 11 other
Nigerian billionaires such as Aliko Dangote and Globalcom boss, Mike
Adenuga.
A while ago, Ngozi was called out as one of TIMES ‘100 most influential people in 2014’ with business magnate, Aliko Dangote.
