Northern Christian association alledges conspiracy in the chibok girls abduction

The Northern Nigeria Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) yesterday released a statement expressing reservations and alleging conspiracy in the Chibok schoolgirls abduction.

The chapter said they believe the kidnapping is a conspiracy involving the governor of the state, Kashim Shettima, the principal of the school, the chief security officer of Borno & the commissioner for Education. In the statement, they asked how 300+ girls can disappear into air without any trace and where the daughters of the principal, vice principal & CSO of the state were when the kidnapping took place, and why no single photograph of the Chibok girls has been made public by school authorities. The position of Northern CAN on the abduction of female students in Chibok

Since the abduction of some female students in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State, Northern CAN has decided to be silent for some reasons. We have decided that we will make statements when we have all the facts of the matter. It may interest Nigerians to know that we have fundamental questions which demand one million answers:
1.    Since the abduction of these girls over two weeks ago, has Borno State Governor, Alhaji Kashim Shettima, constituted any panel of investigation with a view to making its report public?

2.    How did the 353 female students disappear from the school into the thin air?

3.    Why did the Borno State Commissioner for Education, Principal, Vice Principal and Chief Security Officer, all Muslims, ignore the valid advice of WAEC on the security implication of writing exams in the school and the need to have a centre where the children’s life will be secured?

4.    How did Boko Haram carry over 200 students and their food stolen by these criminals from the school? Was it carried with trailer?

5.    Why is it that since this issue came up, no single photograph of the abducted children was made public by the school authorities? After all, they were preparing for exams and may have submitted their photographs.

6.    Where were the daughters of the Principal, Vice Principal and Chief Security Officer when the abduction took place?

We hope that this is not a political gimmick to carry out a political conspiracy against these daughters of Nigerians, future mothers of Nigeria and citizens who are wants to be leaders of tomorrow.
So these are the questions; we have done our investigations, we are begging the international community, we are begging the Federal Government of Nigeria and the press to ask these legitimate questions from the Governor, Commissioner for Education, Principal and CSO of the school because Chibok is a predominantly Christian area. What we are after is the safety and future of these children, whether they are Christians or Muslims or our enemies doesn't matter. They are Nigerians, first and foremost.

Our positions are as follows:
1. The Governor and government of Borno State should and must as a matter of urgency stop playing politics with the lives of the children of other people. They should produce those children without delay because they know their whereabouts.

2. We demand an explanation from the Governor, Commissioner for Education, Principal and CSO of the school on what they did and what they did not do that led to the ferrying away of these innocent children who went to sit for an examination for the betterment of their tomorrow.

3. How come that the parents of these children have not been able to come out and say anything? Are they saying that these children are orphans and do not have parents? We demand an explanation because from our investigation, parents of these children are facing intimidation and threats from the government of Borno State. That is why they could not come out to speak; but they are nursing their pains in silence.

4. We also demand that the Federal Government and the international community should help us beg the Governor of Borno State to do everything within his powers to produce these children.

5. We also reject a situation where they will turn our daughters to be sex slaves of these criminals called Boko Haram members. We have it on good authority that some of these children are being raped 15 times a day. Some of these children are being compelled to be wives of these criminals. If you want to marry somebody's daughter, you must seek the consent of her parents and not to ferry under-aged children and perpetrate a lot of havoc on them.

The abduction of these girls seems a resurrection of what the Christian communities in Northern Nigeria have been suffering for centuries in the hands of the Emirs and Imams regarding forceful conversion and abduction of Christian girls. Borno State government should be reminded that the fundamental human rights of these people should be respected and protected.

The Governor should provide immediate explanation because we know that some people want to sacrifice these children on the altar of politics. There is a limit to which Christians would tolerate all these abnormalities. We suspect a conspiracy among all of these characters including the Governor, Commissioner for Education, Principal and CSO since non of the daughters of the teachers and Principal were abducted; there is more to it and this is the position of Northern CAN.

Boko Haram bomb bridge linking Nigeria and cameroun.

Boko Haram have reportedly bombed the sole bridge linking Borno State, Nigeria & Cameroun. The small bridge which is located at the border town of Gamboru Ngala, was bombed today, cutting off some residents of the area from their families who live in Cameroon.

At least 30 people were killed this evening following the attack, with many reportedly still trapped under the ruble.

Residents say the only option left for people traveling to and from Gamboru, is to go into Banki near Bama local government area of Borno into Cameroon and later enter Gamboru from another Cameroonian village.

This is the same area where over 300 people were killed by Boko Haram on Monday.

Members of the Rabboni Centre Ministries in Pretoria, South Africa, under instruction from their pastor, Lesego Daniel, dropped to the floor to eat grass after the 'man of God' told them it will 'bring them closer to God.' The church members defended their pastor who has been widely criticized for this practice and said eating grass has not only brought them closer to God but also heals them of illnesses.

'Yes, we eat grass and we're proud of it because it demonstrates that, with God's power, we can do anything,' Rosemary Phetha told South Africa's Times Live.

The 21-year-old law student says she had been battling a sore throat for more than a year, but it was healed after she ate the grass. Doreen Kgatle, 27, of Ga-rankuwa, suffered a stroke two years ago.

'I could not walk but soon after eating the grass, as the pastor had ordered, I started gaining strength and an hour later I could walk again,' said Kgatle.

Sen Magnus Abe set to be flown abroad

The Rivers police has denied shooting him, but here are pictures of the Senator as he's being prepared to be flown abroad after being shot with rubber bullets during a political rally in Port Harcourt today.

The injured senator is reportedly on his way to London for further treatment after doctors in Rivers state said he was hit with an object that might have caused internal bleeding. Rubber bullets can cause internal bleeding or he was sick before?

Pastor Chris Okotie of the Household of God Church has announced his intention to run for President in 2015 under his Faith, Responsibility, Equality, Security and Hope (FRESH) Democratic Party.

“I will run in 2015, God willing. God spoke to me about my participation in the political process, which was why I took the step in the first place. He has not said anything contrary.’’ He told Punch

If he goes ahead this will be his third attempt. He ran against Obasanjo in 2003 and against late President Umaru Yar'Adua in 2007.

God forgive for saying this, but how stupid can some people be? And how do you follow and obey another human being so blindly? A pastor in South Africa, Pastor Lesego Daniel (you will find his pics after the cut) is making his members eat grass. Yes, grass! 

Pastor Daniel, who is the founder and Head Pastor at Rabboni Centre Ministries, situated at Zone 2 Ga-Rankuwa, north of Pretoria, said he was basically trying to prove that humans can be controlled by the spirit and they can eat anything to feed their bodies. I don't know how he managed to convince his members to go outside the church and start eating grass, but he didn't eat. Unbelievable!

38yrs in prison for a teacher who slept with 12yrs old student.

Former teacher Ethel Anderson, 31, (pictured above) was found guilty and sentenced to 38 years in prison in December 2013 for having sex with her 12 year old student.

The married mother of one had sex with one of her students, whose identity is being kept secret because of his age (he was 12 at the time). The alleged abuse started in 2011 just one month after the teacher and the minor started a tutoring session in her home. During her trial last year, the boy, now 14, told the court that she started by kissing him and progressed to giving him oral sex. 

"I felt like she was a girlfriend, I loved her and she said that I was her boyfriend and she loved me. She would rub on my legs, kiss on my ears, neck and stuff like that. We would tongue kiss. I lost my virginity to her. I told her to stop but she said she wanted me bad"

The boy's angry mother told the former 'teacher of the year', who worked as a language arts teacher at Mango Elementary School, in Florida, that she took her boy's innocence.

'Anger and hatred don't even begin to explain how I feel about what you took from my son.His innocence is lost forever.' She said in a statement read at the sentencing

Now there are people, especially blacks in America, who feel 38 years is too much to spend in prison for having sex with a minor...especially after a teacher, Laura Whitehurst (who is white) was sentenced to prison for 1 year and released after only 6 months for sleeping with three of her students and giving birth to a child fathered by one of them.
