Security Advisory: Increasing kidnap-for-ransom incidents in Lagos
This security advisory was sent out to expatriates who work in oil
companies in Lagos. But foreigners aren't the only ones being abducted
in Lagos...so decided to share with everyone. See it below...
Recently in Lagos State, specifically between February 10 2013 and today, at least 10 confirmed kidnap-for-ransom incidents involving 12 victims have been recorded between Ikoyi, Victoria Island and the Lekki-Epe axis of the state. One incident occurred near Abraham Adesanya Estate on the Lekki-Epe expressway on February 10; four incidents on February 23, March 1, 21, and 25, occurred at Awoyaya area on the same route; two incidents in Lekki on March 23 - one on the alternative route, and the other a foiled kidnap attempt along Admiralty Way; one incident on Awolowo road in Ikoyi on March 24; and two incidents involving a Briton and three Lebanese in Victoria Island on March 23 and 27 respectively. These incidents appear to be random and opportunistic but mostly happened late at night. However, high-profile incidents are usually preceded by prolonged monitoring of intended targets.

I Don’t Have Problems relating With People-Tonto Dikeh
Tonto has defended herself, stating that she has no problems at all relating with people. “It’s very interesting to know that they view me in that light. I do my work and leave the location; I don’t have problems relating with people. I don’t have to be close to everybody.
We are all working towards one goal; I can’t be friends with everyone on set. I love me and I am cool,” she said.
And on charities, like her colleagues who often involved in it and make a big noise about it, Tonto confessed that she won’t ever join the bandwagon of such people. Hear her, “I do lots of charities but I don’t make noise about them. I am involved with so many organizations. Presently, I am working with an organization in Liberia. Liberia has so many r*pe victims, abandoned children and youths.
We have a foundation that takes care of such people within and outside Liberia. Aside this, I do my underground charity and give back to the society what it has given me.”
Presidency Explains Why First Lady Patience Jonathan Has To Go To The Toilet
Please, give our First Lady a break!
She has her private life outside her public life as the current official First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Ask any qualified physician or medical doctor, your medical history or file can be as private as you wish and not subject to public inquiry of scrutiny.
She is not the only first lady travelling for medical checkups or treatment in the world.
And the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Health, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa disclosed that Nigerians spend N80 billion annually on foreign medical trips.
So, how many of those travelling to care and save their precious lives answer public queries on why they have to travel abroad for medical services?
In fact, for national security, the privacy of the First Family should be classified!
The government and news media should not broadcast it to the whole world.
It is private and should remain private.
It is really annoying and lack of better things to do for the Nigerian press, garrulous celebrity gossip bloggers and other busy bodies to sensationalize the private lives of public officials. But these same busybodies bark, growl and snarl like street dogs whenever you also expose their own private lives like the popular celebrity gossip blogger who once confessed of being a pimp by collecting monetary commissions on the monies made by her "runs babe" friend from the White man she hooked and hoodwinked for her to be servicing in Lagos or the Nigerian reporters who queue for brown envelopes at events and refuse to report even news on malaria if they are not paid N5,000 - N10,000!
If Nigerians must always demand to be informed of the private medical check ups of the First Lady, Dame (Dr) Patience Goodluck Jonathan, then they might as well be told whenever she is going to the toilet to poo.
R.E.V.E.A.L.E.D! Taribo West Is A Big LIAR - Dailymail Report
The former Nigeria centre half, now retired, joined Serbian team Partizan Belgrade in 2002 after leaving Derby County and told club bosses he was 28.
But now the ex-president of Partizan, Zarko Zecevic, has accused him of lying, saying the defender was actually 40.
'He joined us saying he was 28. We only later found out he was 40, but he was still playing well so I don’t regret having him on the team,' Zecevic said.
But according to the Croatian media, the former defender known for his colourful hairstyles also lied when trying to join Croatia’s Rijeka club.
At the age of 44, they said West told club doctors he was only 32.
It was only after an examination that the doctors raised suspicions with the club because West’s knees suggested he was older.
He wasn’t signed to the team but later joined Plymouth and then Iranian side Paykan FC, where he ended his career at the age of 46 in 2008.
Today his Wikipedia entry says he is 39.
