family caught selling stolen church Goods

Three members of a Louisiana family have been arrested after they allegedly stole items from a church and sold them at a yard sale at their nearby home.
Clariese Jones, Paul Mikell and their daughter Olivia Jones of Slidell, La., admitted to repeatedly burglarizing the El Bethel Apostolic Ministry in Slidell, St. Tammany Police Capt. George Bonnett told ABCNews.com. The trio, who were arrested Sept. 23, stole music equipment, water coolers, electronics and generators in two separate robberies of the church, which is currently under construction.
Detectives worked on a tip that the family was selling the stolen goods at a garage sale on Brookter Road in Sidell, only a few streets away from the church site on Allen Road. Once they arrived at the Brookter Road home, detectives noticed several speakers, a CD player and other electronic items advertised for sale on the front lawn.
While inside the home speaking with the homeowners, detectives said that they also noted two water coolers in the living room and an additional speaker placed in the rear yard of the residence.
"We've recovered most of it," Bonnett said. "We're very close to having all of it - about 95 percent has been recovered."
When questioned by police, all three admitted that Olivia and Clariese Jones went inside the church building on Sept. 12 and removed multiple items while Paul Mikell waited outside in his vehicle.
However, Clariese Jones was booked on unrelated charges after deputies with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Paul and Olivia, working with a fourth person police have identified only as Beaux, sold several of the stolen items to bail out Clariese, police said.
After Clariese was released from jail, she and Olivia went back to the church to rob it again.
Clariese Jones, Paul Mikell and Olivia Jones were arrested for simple burglary of a religious building, and are currently being held at St. Tammany Parish Jail on $30,000 bond. It is unclear if they currently have an attorney.

Nigerian woman Ajibola Obabiyi wins Muslim World Beauty Pageant

21 year old University of Lagos student Obabiyi Aisha Ajibola, beat 19 other beauty hopefuls to emerge Muslimah Queen 2013. Ajibola won the exclusive beauty pageant for Muslim women which took place today Wednesday September 18th in Jakarta, Indonesia. She received 25 million rupiah ($2,200) and trips to Mecca and India as prizes.

The contestants were all required to wear headscarves, covered from head to foot. They were judged on their looks, how well they recited Koranic verses and their views on Islam in the modern world, in front of an audience of mainly religious scholars and devout Muslims

This pageant was actually staged as a retort to the Miss World pageant holding in the same country. The organizers said they wanted to create an awareness within the muslim female community that there is a better form of beauty than the one being portrayed by the Miss World. They said the pageant is Islam's answer to the glamorous Miss World Pageant. Congrats to her!

TIPS TO HELP LOWER CHOLESTEROL

• Eat meat sparingly. Relegate meat to a minor part of your diet instead of making it the centrepiece of most meals.
• Opt for low-fat dairy products. Avoid dairy foods that contain whole milk or cream; instead, use low-fat or nonfat versions.
• Watch the snacks. Choose low-fat snacks (homemade popcorn, carrots, dried fruits, or fresh fruits) instead of high-fat ones like potato chips and candy bars.
• Cut down on saturated fat in cooking. Use liquid cooking oils rather than butter or margarine. Use nonstick pans. Instead of frying your food, bake, broil, roast, steam, or stew it.
• Avoid palm and coconut oils. Most vegetable oils are unsaturated, but these two contain mostly saturated fat. Choose canola, sunflower, safflower, corn, soybean, olive, and peanut oils.
• Reduce dietary cholesterol. Strive to eat less than 200 mg of dietary cholesterol a day. Limit eggs to no more than four egg yolks per week; two egg whites can replace a whole egg in most recipes.
• Increase complex carbohydrates and fibre. Emphasise foods with complex carbohydrates—such as fruits and vegetables, whole-grain products, and legumes (dried beans and peas)—that are low in calories and high in fibre.
• Eat fruits and vegetables. To protect your heart, eat plenty of fruits and vegetables.
Go for nuts. Nuts are associated with a lower risk of heart disease. They’re a healthful and filling source of protein, but go easy on them; they have lots of calories, so too much could cause weight gain.
• Add fish to your diet. Countries with high fish consumption have a lower risk of death from all causes, as well as from cardiovascular disease.
