"I am first an actor before an evangelist' - Eucharia Anunobi declares

She may be doing the work of God now as an evangelist but that doesn't mean she's quit acting. Evangelist Eucharia Anunobi explains on her Facebook page
I am first, an actor, before becoming an evangelist, which God has made me right now. Acting is and will continue to be my first ministry and I am not a former actress. For those who are of the wrong opinion or would I say impression that Eucharia Anunobi has taken a break from acting, this is to inform you that I have two movies out in the market right now - The Most Wanted and Windows Gang.

"God told me not to celebrate my 50th birthday' - TB Joshua explains why he didn't celebrate

The founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations turned 50 on June 12th and shunned all forms of celebration put together by his church members, choosing instead to celebrate by communicating with God at the 'mountains'. He explains why:
"There was a divine message to me to shun all activities on my 50th. I don't act if I don't get the call. There's a need to keep one's life in prayer. What I need now is more commitment and time with God and not celebrating. I will only celebrate when I'm 60. That is when I will forget about 50. Even the little activity put together by my church members, they know they were not celebrating Mr T.B Joshua rather Prophet T.B Joshua and it is their divine duty to do so.

Nigerian church leaders react to John and Love Kumuyi's suspension

The son of the General-Superintendent of Deeper Life, Pastor William Kumuyi, was suspended after his wife wore a wedding dress the church termed 'inappropriate'. If you missed it, read the story here

Church leaders are now reacting to the suspension of John and Love Kumuyi, calling it hypocritical. The General Overseer of Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare said:
“I personally did not see what they have done wrong. A man is entitled to his own authority in his own home.1st Peter Chapter 3. A wife should dress to please the husband and not the members of the church or public. It’s sheer wickedness to the couple, they should leave them to enjoy their honeymoon. They should not squeeze them to the modus operandi of a particular organization. I did not see anything wrong in the wedding. The bride was not naked or dressed inappropriately and  the groom didn’t. Esther the queen was beautifully dressed in the bible to gain the king’s attention. They should not make mountain out of a molehill. I was in the Deeper Life Bible Church for five years and nobody compelled me to dress the way I dressed. My wife was with me in the church though we weren’t married then. She wears earrings and dresses nicely. All this talk about this couple should stop.”
The General Overseer of the Royal Family Life Ministry, Pastor Sam Segun-Progress said:
"Dressing in any way does not affect the faith of any individual. Putting on earrings and making up do not by any way mean sinful acts. It’s not against Christian faith to dress the way the woman dressed. But it was actually against the doctrine of Deeper Life Bible Church, and since the church is not the Kingdom of God, the couple should be allowed to do that which pleases them and their belief.”
“There is no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus. For any church leader to condemn a member contravenes the standard of the scripture, which is the symbol of our Christian faith. The doctrine of any church has nothing to do with the kingdom of God. Every individual should be allowed to do that which pleases his faith.
"I would have appreciated it better if this affected couple were just disciplined within the church and were not suspended. The suspension of the two notable members of the church is capable of sending them out of the church and Christianity totally.
"All I can deduce from what happened in the Deeper Life Bible Church is hypocrisy and this is not too good for our churches and the church leaders. I will urge the leadership of Deeper Life Bible Church to read the book of Exodus and see what God says about hypocrisy. The development in the church was a bad omen for the body of Christ and did not portray the church well before the public, especially the non-Christians.”

Tope Alabi, popular gospel singer sex scandal by her Pastor.

Leading yoruba gospel singer, Tope Alabi has been having a messy fight with her spiritual leader, Prophet Iretiola Ajanaku for months now. But another twist has been added to the saga.

Prophet Ajanaku has made a shocking revelation about the respected Tope Alabi when talking with Biodun Kupoluyi. The popular prophet said his trouble with Tope Alabi started because of sex:

Can you clear the air on the claim by Tope Alabi that she met you [just] 6 years?

She actually met me 11 years ago when she came to church crying that since she married she had no child. I told her that by the grace of God when we shall be holding another anniversary she will come and dedicate her child before God. I have pictures of the child dedication, I christened the child Deborah.

There are many things concerning her and the husband that I will never tell anyone, never ever. If she had not said that she met me only six years ago, I would not have called you to show all these pictures. And if I say what God has used me to do in their lives, with proofs and medical test records in their hands, they will be ashamed of themselves.

But I will like you to share it with us to put records straight?

I'm wondering if she's being foolish or just stupid. I remember when she was putting pressure on me to have sex with her. She did not hide her urge to have sexual relationship with me. At a point she could not control her urge to do that but I declined, I said never, not me. Ask these people here (in chorus, the members seated confirmed his claim).

But there were insinuations that you fathered the same child, could it be true?

I can never be involved in such a dirty act. Hen, what do we call that? Where is that written in the Bible? Is it in Habbakuk or where in the Bible is that written? Where do we start the foreplay? I have survived many beautiful women here in this house and I have never had anything sexual with them but attended to their needs.

Besides there are young girls around if one actually wanted to have such a relationship that is for those who wanted to do that. Why go to a grandma? She went as far as begging people to convince me to have sex with her but not me in the name of Jesus.

Anyway, Tope Alabi and her husband, Soji, are denying the Prophet's allegations.

I Dont Want To Be Remembered As A Cover Page Celebrity – Eucharia Anunobi

Eucharia Anunobi Ekwu recently disclosed about why nothing is being heard about her of late. In an interview asked by one of her fans on her social media network where she was asked why she’s not been visible unlike before and she sharply responded her reasons.

Hear her, “ I actually thought about the best way to handle the question, so as not to sound proud or immodest, and these were my honest answers. Thanks for looking out for me, but let me state categorically, that I Eucharia Anunobi, now Evangelist, have moved from the things don’t matter, to the thing that matters more, which is the work of my Father, who created me and made me an instant star, when I least expected it in my life. I would never want to be remembered as someone who graced all the front pages of all the Newspapers and News Magazines in the world and did not contribute to the leading of people towards heaven.”

And on her new job, she said “of a truth, you will agree with me that the job that will be rewarded by God Himself is that of Soul-Winning, so, why waste my fame, money, life, face, time, speaking ability to do the things that will never be rewarded? I would never wish to be remembered as one lady who covered or graced all the front-pages, or a fashionista, or a fashion icon, or one with the best gown at the red carpet event, designed and clothed by the best hands in the world, with the best hair-style or make-up. Surely, these things are good and beautiful, but they will never earn anyone a single mark before the presence of God.”

Many were not shocked by her oratory ability, the actress and now evangelist is sure an embodiment of talent, reasons God has prepared to use her as a tool.

She has this to say about herself, “the content of my character and my contributions to humanity through the preaching of God’s Word (for which I was originally created for) are what I wish to speak for me when my accounts and records are opened in heaven. And I would love to hear that sweet word from the throne of grace saying, welcome my faithful servant, enter into the rest prepared for you. Then, my joy will be full while others continue to relish the pleasures of this world.

Tanzanian pastors to Obama; please speak out

ZANZIBAR -- As President Barack Obama wraps up his outreach tour to Africa, Christians in Tanzania are hoping he will speak out against increased acts of persecution against them.
Obama visits Tanzania Monday where he will meet with President Jakaya Kikwete and the nation's business leaders.
The allure of beautiful beaches and tranquil ocean waters draw 100,000 tourists to the island of Zanzibar each year.
Visitors and their money are welcomed to the Tanzanian paradise, but this East African island is influenced by Islamic extremism has a dark past and a troubling present.
Several hundred years ago when Arab traders first arrived on the island, they were quick to enslave the local population.
Fast forward to 2013, there are no longer slaves, but today Christians are suffering. Churches have been attacked and Christians leaders threatened.
Last February, a Catholic priest was killed outside a church.
"I heard a crowd of people chanting 'Allahu Akbar,' 'Takbir' (Allah is greater), and 'destroy this church of infidels,'" Bishop Dickson Kaganga said.

In May 2012, Bishop Kaganga helped church members flee a Saturday evening prayer meeting as an angry mob approached. He remained behind in a church office.
"They were saying, 'This pastor comes here every Saturday, maybe he's here. Look for him, where is he?'" Kaganaga recalled. "They were saying, 'We don't want a church here, we don't want Christianity in Zanzibar.'"

The Muslim extremists never found Bishop Kaganga, but they destroyed his car and set fire to chairs and church equipment inside the building.
"I know they oppose the church, they oppose Christ, Jesus doing signs and wonders," he said. "Muslims are convinced to come to Christianity so, they attack because they don't want this."

It's not only happening in Zanzibar, church attacks have also spread to the Tanzanian mainland.
In the town of Arusha last May an attack left one person dead and 40 injured.
Author Raymond Ibrahim warned extremists are now waging jihad in African countries that have a high percentage of Christians.

"It's a resurgent Islamic mentality which is, it's just everywhere and now in Tanzania, of course, which earlier you never thought of being a radical nation," he said.
Church leaders say attacks and threats have actually strengthened the Tanzanian body of Christ.
As for Bishop Kaganga's church, services resumed after repairs were made. He encouraged Zanzibarian Christians to remain focused on God.

"He is faithful to us and we will endure and we will pass through this and we will become victorious and many good things will happen, so I don't want people to cry. Let's rejoice," he said.
