Meet the First Lady and First Lady of Iceland: Johanna and Jonina

Iceland's lesbian PM is the world's first openly gay Prime MinisterIcelandic PM, Johanna Sigurdardottir, and her "wife" of 13 years, Jonina Leosdottir are the First Lady and First Lady of Iceland. Johanna Sigurdardottir is Iceland's longest serving Member of Parliament (MP) and also the country's first female to be Prime Minister (PM). 

 In 2002, at the age of 60, Johanna Sigurdardottir married Jonina Leosdottir, a writer, in a civil ceremony. Three decades ago, she was an air stewardess and union official, and the mother of two sons married to a banker. Same-sex marriage was legalized in Iceland in 2010.

Former deputy governor of Anambra state killed by kidnappers

First Deputy Governor of Anambra State and National Vice President of ACN (South East), Dr. Chudi Nwike, who was kidnapped on March 19, has been killed by his kidnappers.

Dr Nwike's corpse was found on Monday April 8th in the middle of the road leading to Alizomor community near Agbor in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, after the family had paid the kidnappers N5m ransom.

The late ACN chieftain served as deputy governor between 1991 and 1993, under former governor, Dr. Chukwu-emeka Ezeife. See ACN press release on Dr Nwike's murder after the cut...

Stephen Keshi receives his Range Rover and Toyota Camry from Glo

The cars were presented to the Super Eagles coach at the Globacom office in Victoria Island. They are gifts to him from Glo Chairman, Mike Adenuga, for winning the African Cup of Nation 2013. Presenting the keys is Mr Mohammed Jameel, Group Chief Operating Officer.

Man Sells 6-month- Old Son To Raise Funds For Visa

One Mr Onyekachi  Ekwelum, who allegedly sold his six-month-old  son to raise funds to process his travel documents, would  be appearing before a magistrate in court to defend his action.

Mr Ekwelum allegedly hatched and executed the act without the consent of the wife, but the lid was blown off by his 20-year-old spouse Ozioma when she could not find their son and reported the matter to the police. Her husband had wanted to travel to Greece.

Gov Fashola Commissions Emeka Anyaoku Housing Estate in Ikeja

Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola, on Tuesday  April 9th, commissioned the newly-constructed Ikeja Millemium Housing Estate, which he named after former Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, Chief Emeka Anyaoku.
